Petri Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain Cleaning Inc. has always sponsored different charity organizations throughout the years to help raise funds for different causes we fight alongside. Every month, we sponsor a different charity chosen by our very own team members and proceeds of every invoice are donated to the cause.”

“For the month of August, we have chosen to sponsor the Cancer Research Institute and their drive to further the research and development on an issue that has affected many of our team members on a personal level. The Cancer Research Institute is the world’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to harnessing the immune system’s power to conquer all cancers.   CRI awards research grants and fellowships to support scientists at leading research universities and clinics around the world. Funding decisions are guided by a Scientific Advisory Council composed of renowned immunologists and tumor immunologists, including Nobel Prize winners, members of the National Academy of Sciences, and members of the Academy of Cancer Immunology. For the month of October, we have chosen to sponsor the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. Breast Cancer is a disease that has affected many of our team members on a personal level, and The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission is to provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and support services. Click here to help donate to this incredible cause!

“With strong ties to The Pennsylvania State University, Petri Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain Cleaning Inc. has decided to partner with The Penn State Dance Marathon throughout the year and pledge to donate a portion of every invoice throughout the entire year to their fundraising efforts.”

“The Penn State Dance Marathon is a yearlong fundraising and awareness campaign for the fight against childhood cancer, with more than 15,000 student volunteers involved each year. Our yearlong efforts culminate during a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon held in February; however, THON’s impact reaches well beyond these46 hours and impacts the lives of thousands throughout the year.

With each event, our students have the unique opportunity to create relationships with those we benefit, building a beautiful network of support and outlet for hope. Together, we have outgrown three buildings, increased our fundraising capacity from $2,136 in 1973, and have become the largest student run philanthropy in the world. In 2016 alone, the THON community was able to raise $9,770,332.32 For The Kids, but the relationships formed between students, children, and families have proven to transcend any monetary amount.”

We will continue our efforts and help aid THON in their goal to fight for the day that no parent has to hear the words, “your child has cancer.”
